From our expert team of staff and our horses, to our lovely group of Owners, we aim to offer a relaxed professional experience here at Churn Stables. We pride ourselves in our level of horse care and attention to detail and this provides the foundation for every horse's journey to success.
Based in an idyllic location on the Berkshire Downs, just a stone's throw away from the historic Ridgeway, our quiet relaxed barn with it's excellent gallops and facilities provides a superb environment from which all our horses can fulfill their potential.

ABOUT
Noel's drive for sporting success began from a young age. When the possibility of a professional rugby career eluded him due to his lack of physical size his focus turned unequivocally to his horses.
​
A true horseman and talented rider Noel quickly became known for his ability to produce and compete horses to top level. His skills transferred easily across equestrian disciplines from representing GB at Young Riders Dressage to competing at Advanced level eventing.
​
A quiet passion for National Hunt racing however had been ignited during Noel's school days when he was known to escape to Wincanton on the odd Thursday afternoon. It seemed a logical progression that when the opportunity presented itself to transfer his skills to the racing world it was here he found his true purpose.
​
10 years as Assistant to Alan King together with being involved with horses such as My Way De Solzen, Voy Por Ustedes, Halcon Genelardais and Katchit further fuelled his passion and consolidated his knowledge. Training under his own name became a clear destiny and in 2013 he and his wife Clare moved to Eve Johnson Houghton's Whiteshoot Stables to begin their training adventure.

Whiteshoot Stables and it's fabulous gallops at Woodway provided a solid foundation from which the business started to grow and in 2016 they made the move next door to the wonderful purpose built Churn Stables.

FACILITIES
FIRST-CLASS FACILITIES IN AN IDYLLIC LOCATION
Excellent facilities include 38 boxes in a light, airy American Barn, a large indoor arena, a horse walker, and turnout paddocks.
Top-class gallops: a 7-furlong woodchip gallop, 7-furlong round grass gallop, 5-furlong grass gallops, and access to a 5-furlong fibresand gallop.
Comprehensive training tools such as schooling fences and hurdles support every stage of a horse’s development.
